Emory University Associate Professor/Professor-Chief for the Division of Hematology in Atlanta, Georgia


The Emory University School of Medicine and the Emory Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta, Georgia are recruiting an oncologist with experience in practice leadership and clinical investigation to join the faculty as Chief for the Division of Hematology. The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology has a growing faculty, with sub-specialty practices at multiple locations in metro Atlanta. Emory seeks candidates holding a M.D. or equivalent degree who will lead the continuing development of clinical service, clinical and basic research, and education.

Duties include administrative leadership, academic scholarship, clinical research, teaching, and community service. Clinical service responsibilities will comprise 50% of overall full-time effort. They include outpatient consultation and treatment, long-term management, inpatient consultation, rotating inpatient attending service and call coverage responsibility, and multi-disciplinary collaboration with other cancer specialists.

The Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University is a National Cancer Institute designated cancer center. Hematology and Medical Oncology is an autonomous academic department in the Emory School of Medicine, and its physicians are members of The Emory Clinic, Inc. In addition to Emory University Hospital, programs and services are also located at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, and the Atlanta Veterans’ Administration Medical Center.
