Your New Role...

The Assistant Crewing Manager works within the Production, Technology and Operations Crewing department providing our Productions brands with consistent, transparent, effective, and efficient production scheduling and crew management. This position will oversee the schedule management of full-time staff and temporary production personnel, adjusting as the needs of Production brands continue to evolve. The Assistant Crewing Manager will assist in the training and development of production personnel as well as find and create efficiencies with the workflows of the Crewing department.

Your Role Accountabilities...

STAFF MANAGEMENT (40%)

  • Manage the growth and development of staff employees.

  • Responsible for reviewing resumes and contacting potential temporary crew members for productions in an effort to build depth across all positions.

  • Participate in the interviewing process for full-time staff positions.

COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION (30%)

  • Partners with Production brands to secure the resources needed to capture the creative and technical needs of the production.

  • Collaborates with Crewing leadership to implement programs for the development and training of PT&O staff and temporary employees.

  • Partners with Crewing leadership to identify workflow efficiencies within the department.

CREWING/ADMINISTRATIVE (30%)

  • Responsible for crewing of assigned brands and productions.

  • Create and manage crewing database for productions based on Production Control Room and Studio needs.

  • Contacts crew for availability and secures crew based on production needs.

  • Manages the workflow for smartsheet data entry, reconcling/actualizing work orders and distribution of paystubs to temporary employees.

  • Manages the Crewing aspect of the onboarding process of temporary employees.

Qualifications & Experiences...

  • 2-3 years of live production experience, including a comprehensive understanding of crew positions and skillsets needed for high level broadcast production in studio and on location

  • Previous management experience showcasing strong leadership abilities.

  • Strong leadership and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.

  • Must take ownership and accountability for assigned projects.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Solid time management, planning and organizational skills.

  • Practical experience in scheduling and building crews for Productions, understanding the importance of matching the proper talent and skillset with a production in need.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail while production and crew data.

  • Understanding of Onboarding and Payroll processes in a broadcast production environment.

  • Able to work flexible, non-traditional hours including weekends and holidays if needed.

Not Required but preferred experience:

  • Experience in Broadcast Production Operations.

  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, Workday, and Media Pulse.
