ASSISTANT CONTROLLER - Private Equity Backed Company in Buckhead

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join a rapidly growing team. This role will support the financial and risk management operations, assisting the Controller to optimize resources and ensure financial accuracy and compliance. As the Assistant Controller, you will maintain accounting controls and provide detailed financial information to management and stakeholders to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and review financial transactions and activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations, financial reports, and statements, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles.

• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, projects, inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data.

• Ensure proper accounting controls are in place and audit documentation is maintained.

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts.

• Assist in the preparation of special reports as needed.

• Provide support for external audit requests and provide necessary information.

• Participate in special projects and contribute to team training and development.

• Assist in processing accounts payable and ensuring correct accounting treatment for all transactions.

• Offer technical accounting support to various departments.

• Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating accounting policies, procedures, and related documentation.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the service industry.

• CPA or MBA required.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Experience with NetSuite, Vista, or other similar multi-entity integrated accounting software.

• Knowledge of the full accounting cycle.

• Experience working with multiple legal entities under various legal structures.

• Highly organized, proactive, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Minimal travel required.

• Located within the Greater Atlanta, GA area.

• Strong commitment to confidentiality and discretion in all financial and employee matters.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with employees, clients, vendors, and business contacts.

• High attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, able to maintain clear and positive lines of communication with management.

• Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
