Trinity Health Registered Nurse, RN Case Manager Bed Control, PRN in Athens, Georgia

Description:

  • Admissions Coordinator is responsible for implementing an interdisciplinary process for evaluating the options and services required to meet an individual’s health care needs on admission to the health care facility

  • Responsible for inpatient bed management and working in collaboration with the nursing units, environmental services, the emergency department, the surgery department, the cardiac catheterization lab, registration, and physicians in the assignment of patients to beds in the facility based on their admitting diagnoses to assure the patient is placed in the most appropriate bed in a timely manner

  • Responsible for tracking data for the facility in regards to types of admissions, bed placement delays, and other quality indicators as required

Requirements:

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current GA RN license. BLS required – must be obtained within initial 90-days of employment.

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN recommended.

Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in nursing, preferably in an acute care setting and a minimum of 1 year in case management, utilization management, or discharge planning preferred.
