System One SYSTEM ENGINEER, BOP (NUC) - LEVEL A in Athens, Alabama
System One is seeking a System Engineer, BOP to support a long-term contract on-site in Athens, AL
Responsibilities
Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experience system engineer.
Applies standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations to solve operational and maintenance problems involving BOP systems and components.
Adjusts and correlates data and recognizes discrepancies in results
Provides technical interpretations of design requirements as they apply to the maintenance and operations of BOP systems.
This Is the entry level for professional work
Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques and methods and a knowledge of plant system design and operation
Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary recommendations and development of design, maintenance and operational alternatives.
Qualifications
Education and experience/certificates, licenses, and registration requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/Nuclear/Electrical or other related engineering degree from an accredited curriculum, plus appropriate continuing education.
EIT Certification desirable.
Membership in professional and technical societies is desirable.
Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access and S-3 and S-4 medical qualifications when applicable.
Assume on-call rotational assignments which may include 24 hour-a-day, 7 days-a week availability.
