ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: PRIORITY RECRUITMENT
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluation, treatment, reassessment, and documentation of care for acute care, observation, outpatient, and swing bed patients. Volume in each setting is reliant on daily census, with outpatient volumes typically greatest, followed by inpatient positions. Physical Therapists are also responsible for supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides. Job Requirements If performing home visits, must have personal automobile in safe, working order and must have a valid driver's license and have documentation of current vehicle insurance. License/Certification Must have a valid state license or valid temporary permit as a Physical Therapist, issued by the Oregon State Physical Therapy Licensing Board. CUrrent BLS certification required through American Heart Association. Education and/or Experience The Physical Therapist must have successfully completed a program culminating with a BA/BS degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited school. Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Works inside. Walking and standing much of the time while on duty. Subject to occasional stress in fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines. Must be capable of providing treatments, some of which will require strength. Aware of proper body mechanics at all times.
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
Transfers patients to/from cars, stretchers, beds, chairs, and ambulates as necessary. Must have ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
