A-Tech Coordinator Position in Ashtabula, Ohio

Aspire Coordinator

The Ashtabula Aspire Program is a FREE community-based program to help individuals that are interested in preparing for adult education or college classes, the GED or just to better their math, reading, and writing skills. We are customer-centric, rewarding and supportive.

PAY: $18.00 per hour; Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, demonstrate effective organization, administration, and continuous improvement of the Aspire program
  • Manage the enrollment process, including registration and assessment of student needs.
  • Facilitate GED Orientation monthly
  • Provide guidance and support to students throughout their GED preparation journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and performance.
  • Schedule TABE testing with current and new students
  • Implement a mechanism to ensure the program meets or exceeds state requirements

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students of varying skill levels
  • Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes
