Express Employment Professionals Fence Fabrication Specialist in Ashland, Massachusetts
Our client, a family-owned fence company, is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Fabrication Specialist to join their team. The role involves manufacturing various fence products, including wood, chain link, and PVC sections, gates, and posts, using a variety of machines and tools such as drill presses, saws, welders, and forklifts. Schedule: Monday - Friday - 7:30am-4:00pm - NO Weekends Responsibilities of the Fabrication Specialist: Manufacture fence products, including wood, chain link, and PVC sections, gates, and posts, using various tools and machinery such as drill presses, saws, and welders. Weld steel for the production of chain link fencing and ensure the quality of finished products. Process and fulfill orders for walk-in customers, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Operate forklifts, company vehicles, and machinery safely to load and unload materials for installation crews and customer deliveries. Manage inventory and assist with the shipping, receiving, and packaging of fencing materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment while adhering to safety protocols. Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient manufacturing and timely order completion. Qualifications and Experience of the Fabrication Specialist: Experience in manufacturing and welding with a strong understanding of fence production processes. Construction experience and ability to work with hand tools, especially in the fence industry, is a plus. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing wood products and/or welding (preferred). Forklift certification (preferred) and ability to operate machinery safely. Valid Driver?s License and ability to drive company vehicles. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied weather conditions.
