IBM Corporation Client Architect in Armonk, New York
Client Architect, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (up to 50% telecommuting permitted): Work with Sales and Technical Specialists to sell company Mainframe Hardware (H/W) and Software (S/W) Technical Pre-Sales in the Financial Services market to optimize and improve the financial ecosystem in the US. Identify and progress Mainframe HW/SW sales opportunities for designated client territories. Liaise with the client, client account teams, company business partners, and multiple internal teams to position, architect, configure and progress mainframe sales deals to help close business and retire assigned quota for designated sales territory. Work with clients to architect, design, implement and maintain solutions in the Server platform by regularly meeting with their technical and operational teams. Help company laboratories understand the challenges and new requirements faced by financial markets around security, transparency, resiliency, scalability, and many other non-functional requirements so labs can enhance the products accordingly. Define the structures of solutions and architectures to address client business strategy and problems and leverage appropriate business elements and information technology to address needs. Ensure viability of the proposed solutions by conducting solution assurance assessments. Identify and mitigate potential risks to the success of the project. Proactively mediate equitable resolutions to project conflicts and document architectural decisions across elements. Utilize IBM Z, Z Operating System (z/OS), LinuxONE, COBOL, PL/1 Programming Language, Hybrid Cloud Solution. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept Associates degree plus two (2) years of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) and two (2) years of experience as a Systems Programmer, Technical Specialist, IT Architect or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing IBM Z, Z Operating System (z/OS), LinuxONE, COBOL, PL/1 Programming Language, Hybrid Cloud Solution. $212,878.00 - $260,000.00 per year.
