Production Associate - B

Arlington, WA

Contract Position

$35.64/Hr

Responsibilities:

  • Perform post-cast cleaning, grinding, and sandblasting operations while following proper safety protocols and PPE use.
  • Operate plasma and abrasive cutting tools, waterblast equipment, and handle other manufacturing tasks.
  • Manage lot traceability and conduct software transactions, including viropeen/part marking.
  • Support inventory maintenance for tooling and equipment, ensuring adequate supply and upkeep.
  • Help develop and deploy new manufacturing methods to improve quality, reduce costs, and optimize production schedules.
  • Assist in DFMEA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and testing processes.
  • Contribute to the creation of detailed manufacturing work instructions, covering fabrication, assembly, testing, and refurbishment processes.
  • Identify non-conformances, support corrective actions, and manage hardware configuration throughout the build and test process.
  • Occasional local vendor trips with a company truck (no CDL required).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 1 to 8 years of direct manufacturing experience (aerospace experience preferred).
    • Proven track record in developing new processes and improving manufacturing methods.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read and understand detailed work instructions and specifications.
    • Basic computer skills for lot traceability and managing work instructions.
    • Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Climb ladders and stairs; lift and carry up to 50 lbs for limited durations.
    • Pass full respirator fit testing and wear full blast suits (including helmets) during sandblasting operations.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, depending on hardware and testing schedules.
