Production Associate - A Arlington, WA Contract Position $32.40/Hr Responsibilities: Perform post-cast cleaning tasks such as knockout, waterblasting, plasma/abrasive cutting, and grinding. Operate equipment for sandblasting and viropeen/part marking while ensuring lot traceability through software transactions. Safely handle hazardous systems, chemicals, and materials using proper PPE. Support process improvement initiatives by identifying and deploying new manufacturing methods or refining existing ones to enhance quality and reduce costs. Contribute to DFMEA and PFMEA studies to improve feedback between design, build, and testing. Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions for processes like receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, testing, and refurbishment. Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions, ensuring configuration and pedigree management throughout the build and test processes. Occasionally drive company trucks for local vendor trips (no CDL required). Perform other assigned duties as needed. Qualifications: Experience: 1 to 8 years of direct manufacturing experience, aerospace preferred. Skills: Proficiency in reading specifications and detailed work instructions. Proven experience in developing new manufacturing processes. Basic computer skills for lot traceability and work instructions. Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum. Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders and stairs. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. for limited periods. Full respirator fit-testing and blast suit (including helmet) required for sandblasting.
