The Sr. Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering (RME) Program Manager (PM) will provide direct support and partnership to one or more of the North America RME regions and programs. In addition to supporting RME in meeting WHS goals from an execution standpoint, this role will also be responsible for collaborating with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) within WHS, RME, and other functions (e.g. Operations, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, Worldwide Engineering, Research & Development, Suppliers, Amazon Robotics, procurement, etc.) to continually improve network WHS standards through initiatives driving risk reduction. The Sr. RME PM will support both the field in program execution but will also be responsible one or more of the RME safety processes, such as RME Safety Questions and Concerns, RME Dragonfly, Technician Safety Week and Marketing, RME Technical Safety Teams, Communications, RME Safety Climate Network, RME Safety Training, etc.

Key job responsibilities
This role must have demonstrated skills in: Partnering with stakeholders to drive safety ownership and customer obsession, excel at WHS regulatory research, data analytics, and document technical writing.
·Support the RME Leadership in improving RME engagement to cultivate a strong sense of ownership and bias for action when escalating safety issues, task creep, and stop work authority.
· Partner with all stakeholders to continuously improve NA WHS program requirements (programs, standards, training, etc.) related to RME.
· Develop a deep working relationship and partnership with RME and WHS stakeholders for the region(s) and program(s) that you directly support.
· Establish intake, escalation and reporting structures within your area of responsibility to ensure timely notification and collaboration on root cause analysis and controls are delivered.
· Ensure field and leadership concerns are promptly addressed or escalated to applicable stakeholder’s/support teams at the site, regional or network level.
· Ensure network alerts and actions are effectively communicated, sites have the ability to ask questions to gain further clarification, and establish methods for tracking completion.
· Partner with equipment OEMs, Ops Engineering, WWE, RME, EHS Engineering, etc. on equipment related incidents where design or retrofits may be necessary across multiple business units.
· Stay attuned to changing regulations and internal WHS performance to change policies when required.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
