Overview:
Mastercard’s Test & Learn team is seeking a Software Engineer II, Quality to help scale our platform development and address the significant challenges of the future. This individual will ensure quality in all phases of feature development for analytic and front-end code foundational to Test & Learn, while maintaining a strong connection to our customers and the business value we deliver.
Software quality engineers work in small, flexible teams alongside software development engineers. Every team member actively contributes to designing and testing features. There are no rigid organizational structures; each team adopts processes that work best for its members and projects.
The Test & Learn teams within Mastercard's Services organization strive to build industry-leading business experimentation software that brings advanced analytic techniques to business users worldwide. We are rapidly expanding our product offerings and continuously innovating how we deliver Test & Learn solutions to our clients.
Role:
• Partner with development engineers and internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute testing and release efforts.
• Build and enhance automated testing infrastructure to streamline and scale quality assurance.
• Ensure an intuitive, reliable user experience for clients with diverse mathematical or business backgrounds.
• Drive the testing strategy and prioritization for your team’s feature development efforts.
• Stay on top of the latest technologies, continuously learning and applying them to improve quality and efficiency.
• Oversee release management for your team, ensuring smooth delivery of features to production.
• Own your professional growth while actively supporting your team’s success and development.
All about you:
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Software Engineer in Test, Test Automation Engineer, or Developer with hands-on experience leveraging QA tools and processes.
• Familiarity with a variety of testing strategies, including test planning, UI testing, automated testing, analytic testing, and test-driven development.
• Experience with SQL Server and Cypress is required. Git, C#, React/Redux, Selenium, Jenkins, and/or Splunk are nice to have.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
• Experience tackling complex, quantitative challenges with precision.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and experience with data analytics, data science, or business analysis.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Arlington, Virginia: $106,000 - $169,000 USD
