Amazon Senior Program Manager, Workforce Staffing in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Are you interested in solving complex problems at the intersection of both tech and non-tech stakeholders? You will be a part of the Workforce Staffing (WFS) team and will partner closely with Field Operations and Technology teams to scale optimization mechanisms with a focus on capacity planning.

The Project Manager for the WFS Field Optimization team will lead HR Operational projects to ensure the smooth execution of multiple programs and initiatives. You will drive the creation of mechanisms and best practices, and be responsible for aligning the needs cross functional across multiple teams. Successful candidates will have a background in call/contact center program management and experience working with both tech and non tech teams, have excellent problem solving abilities, and are able to influence without authority across all levels of the organizational hierarchy. The ideal candidate will have strong program management, communication and analytical skills; the ability to drive decision making while challenging the status quo; and experience driving large scale, matrixed global projects that have significant impact on the customer and wider organization. This role has a continuous improvement charter, which includes responsibility for improvements to processes, programs and projects, and for representing the interests of WFS Field and our candidates to influence large-scale change with central teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Support the enhancement of labor pooling strategies and technology

• Work closely with multiple teams to deliver innovative strategies for capacity planning tools and processes.

• Serve as primary point-of-contact for capacity planning and provide regular business reviews on program health and roadmap execution

• Create and maintain multiple, complex and concurrent program plans.

• Negotiate resources and work timelines to ensure on-time completion and deliver desired business results.

• Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.

• Communicates status risks, and changes of program milestones to a large user population and senior business leaders.

• Analyze and report out on assessment data and metrics to stakeholders. Consolidate and produce metrics and insights that reflect success or failure criteria. Dive deep into defect data to root cause problematic products or processes and advice on corrective actions

• Negotiate tech integration and implementation of continuous improvements.

• Partner with technical teams to derive program requirements, develop delivery mechanisms for assessments to our candidates, and research new assessment capabilities

• Develop change management communications and effective training and for internal and external assessment users.

• Surface opportunities to innovate to continuously improve organizational efficiency

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience

• 2+ years of call/contact center program management experience

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

• Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
