Guidehouse Senior Business Analyst - Federal Advisory in ARLINGTON, Virginia

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct requirements gathering for high-level business and functional requirements, and provide subject matter expertise on requirements for the clients mission oriented site pages; define artifacts necessary for requirements approval

  • Understand, support, and drive the planning and documentation of business requirements getting translated into clear hand-off documents for the implementation vendor

  • Exercise a background working with federal agency websites, and the data products and publications that are disseminated on those pages

  • Support and drive the preparation for ongoing discovery work on client programs and their associated data sets

  • Act as an Education data subject matter expert, applying that expertise to support the rebuild of client program websites and the data products published there

  • Understand and map the process for producing and publishing Education data products, starting with the mapping of relevant procurements and understanding to the contractor landscape, all the way to website and dissemination requirements for each data product.

  • Support stakeholder meetings with written agendas, client follow ups, and note taking as needed.

  • Review the substance and format of Jira tickets and work with implementation vendor as necessary to ensure that key functionality gets implemented to client requirements and program objectives are met

  • Track implementation vendor Jira tickets throughout the agile delivery lifecycle, from conception to testing

  • Prioritize features based on client stakeholder needs

  • Test product builds and new site templates against functional and technical requirements, following workflows for filing and triaging bugs with implementation vendor

  • Support the preparation of Steering Committee updates

  • Drive product feature definition of ready and definition of done

  • Support administrative activities and perform segment engagement tasks for the team

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree is required

  • Minimum THREE (3) years of experience synthesizing client needs into business requirements

  • Develop MS Office resources including PowerPoints, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a cross functional team

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience with agile program/project management

  • Exercise an educational background and previous experience with statistical data products

  • Experience with UX or CX projects for civilian government agencies

  • Experience working directly with client stakeholders

  • Experience with Jira
