Summary About the Position: As an Acquisition Security Specialist, incumbent is responsible for managing and overseeing the Army's due diligence program, which involves collecting and reviewing each small business concerns information and evaluating security risk indicators. This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule. Responsibilities Responsible for all matters pertaining to Information Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Operations Security, Industrial Security, Sensitive Compartmented Information Security, Automated Information Systems Security and visitor control. Studies, interprets, and adapts security related statutory guidance, regulations, directives, instructions, polices, and other pertinent documentation to develop and implement security policies and procedures. Provides overall management to the program access process including access to the integration activities and foreign participation. Manages and integrates groups to direct the development of all special access security policy, program guides, and classification guides. Specialized Experience: One year of experience which includes: 1) Analyzing security strategies, procedures, or documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance; 2) Developing and enforcing effective management controls to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures; 3) Recommending and issuing guidance to personnel concerning classification of information as well as classification of work being conducted; and 4) Investigating and preparing reports on any suspected security violations and providing report(s) to the appropriate authorities. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level NH-03 (GS-13) position in the federal service. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
