Office of the Chief of the National Guard Bureau Program Analyst in Arlington, Virginia

Summary About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army National Guard Readiness Center, G-3, Force Development Division, Resource Management Branch, in Arlington, Virginia. About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums. Responsibilities Identify, program, and monitor the manpower, fiscal resourcing, and logistics of the New Equipment Training/Displaced Equipment Training requirements. Maintain continual dialogue concerning program plans, resources, and procedures as the program interface within the National Guard Bureau and the Army National Guard states and territories. Prepare, coordinate and disseminate all related program guidance. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing the budget and executing funding for training programs over the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP); developing and conducting studies and reviews to include qualitative and quantitative analysis of programming issues; developing and delivering presentations, briefing, and/or negotiating with senior level officials and representatives; carrying out studies leading to the development of conclusions and recommendations that have far reaching effects on the allocation and use of available resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
