We have a highly skilled Industry Products and Solutions team that builds applications in tandem with other groups (AWS Service Teams, External Partners, etc) for public sector customers, that use exciting new AWS services and open source frameworks from IoT to Machine Learning to chat bots and image recognition.
We are looking for a top-notch technical product manager with a strong agile mindset to drive product innovation to build Industry Products and Solutions in verticals such as Healthcare, Research/Education, and more to have technical deep-dives with our engineers and customers alike.

Key job responsibilities
Manages a major product or suite of products. Influences market segment and industry.
Defines product-market fit, business opportunity, and product strategy (e.g., customer, market).
Delivers with independence.
Works on large, important product initiatives.
Defines long-term strategy and vision to meet emerging customer needs and technologies.
Handles complex product development and management scenarios.
Supports due diligence on customer opportunities.
Supports ROI business case development.
Actively manages and develops a group of product managers.
Drives strategic product communications (e.g. investment proposals) internally/externally.
Owns customer engagement for major product issues.
Designs product value propositions.
Impacts long-term strategy, future of a product or suite of products, business, or market segment.
Understands core technologies utilized in their product domain. Fluent in technology alternatives; can weigh the pros and cons of a technology choice and propose relevant options.
Deconstructs complex product problems into straightforward technical propositions.
Drives alignment and coherent product feature, business, and evangelism strategies. Designs processes (e.g., information gathering, training, measurements) to ensure long-term product or business success.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience with feature priotization and product roadmap tradeoffs
Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products
Experience writing and gaining senior leadership approval on PRFAQs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines
Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience defining product acceleration co-development across engineering teams, such as with AWS Service Teams or external partners.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
