Key Responsibilities of an Associate PrincipalPlatform Systems Engineer include:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable platform architectures.
Leading the development and deployment of platform services to ensure alignment with business and security requirements.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex platform issues to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.
Performing requirements analysis, system integration, and configuration management for enterprise platforms.
Investigating and resolving operational challenges, working alongside engineering and technical teams.
Supporting project teams in engineering and packaging releases within production IT environments.
Providing guidance and mentorship to junior Systems Engineers.

Job Requirements
Clearance:Active Top Secret w/SCI eligibility.
Education & Experience:
BA/BS + 10-11 years as a Platform Engineer or similar.
Some college + 12-14 years relevant experience.
High school + 15+ years relevant experience.
Certifications: Current CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (https://f.hubspotusercontent10.net/hubfs/9314269/WillcoTech_DoD-8140-Baseline-Cert.pdf?hsCtaTracking=8ad7b0ae-fe3f-4c5a-980b-3b8f979e379c|27c8ce70-b1fb-46f0-8b8b-d9eb7f13494a)
Technical Skills:
Expertise in designing/maintaining secure, scalable architectures (cloud/on-prem, IL5–IL6+ domains).
Proficiency in enterprise platforms, virtualization, automation, and cloud services.
2+ years administering Linux (RHEL): users, permissions, networking, storage, monitoring, package management, shell scripting.
Knowledge of Windows Systems, EMC SANs, and VMware.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting in classified environments.
Note:Position is 100% on-site.
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
