FMG’s Marketing & Outreach Division is seeking an Account Coordinator to provide day-to-day communications support across a number of important national public health programs. Our clients include the National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Institute of Nursing Research.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support implementation of marketing and communication activities across projects.

  • Participate in planning meetings as well as weekly client calls.

  • Support the coordination and tracking of project timelines and deliverables.

  • Provide administrative project management support, i.e., note-taking, schedule coordination, etc.

  • Support the preparation of client-facing documentation, i.e., project briefs, reports, etc.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic communication and campaign plans and support project leadership to accomplish plan objectives.

  • Assist with earned media and social media outreach and engagement.

  • Liaise and coordinate with partners participating in campaign activities.

  • Support business development activities.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, marketing or related.

  • 1-2 years of experience in project management support and marketing strategy/strategic planning at an agency/consulting firm or in-house communications group, or 2-3 summer internships where this was a priority focus.

  • Excellent organization, writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic on phone & in-person.

  • Strong project management support skills.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Strong listening skills.

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
