Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled API Engineer to join our team as part of the CAPAM (Cloud Application and Platform Management) team. The Pearl CAPAM API Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs that enable seamless integration between various platforms, services, and systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in API development, cloud platforms, and software engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
API Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure APIs for integration between various applications and services within the CAPAM ecosystem.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, software developers, and architects, to understand integration requirements and deliver optimal API solutions.
API Security: Ensure all APIs are developed following security best practices, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization protocols.Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing, to ensure the reliability and scalability of APIs.
Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize API performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements as necessary.Documentation: Provide clear, concise documentation for API endpoints, usage guidelines, and integration processes to ensure seamless usage by internal and external developers.
Troubleshooting & Support: Offer technical support to resolve API-related issues, monitor system health, and ensure optimal service availability.Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, contributing new ideas to improve API functionality, performance, and security.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3 + years of work experience
Experience with Pearl, CAPAM API
HS Diploma / GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native application development
Familiarity with database management and integration with RESTful APIs
Knowledge of API monitoring and analytics tools
Experience in automation and scripting languages e.g., Shell, Bash, or PowerShell
Primary Skill PLUS Proficiency P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 Additional Skills PLUS Proficiency P1, P2, P3, P4, P5

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
