U.S. Marine Corps FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Arlington, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the RESOURCE, EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS BRANCH of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. Responsibilities You will assist in audits, audit follow-up matters, internal control assessments (operational and information technology internal controls), and corrective action plans in response to any findings. You will assist in providing oversight of audit coordination and support by ensuring subordinate commands are well-informed regarding schedule and requirements supporting all areas of audit assurance efforts. You will assist with the coordination of staff efforts to respond to external audits, to include Statement of Budgetary Resources, Real Property and General Property samples associated with the USMC "Clean Audit Effort". You will assist in the audit planning and field work in support of audit assurance preparations. You will conduct activities in support of audit planning, such as researching audit topics and defining objectives, scope, criteria and methodology. You will conduct follow-ups of external and internal audits to ensure management has taken the actions agreed upon in response to accounting and audit recommendations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting Internal Controls reviews, consolidating results, creating corrective action plans, conducting audits and process improvement.
