Amazon Finance Manager, Global Prime Finance in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Global Prime Finance (GPF) seeks a Finance Manager to join the Member Growth and Engagement (MGE) team. This role will fall under the Lifecycle Engagement (LEO) pillar and will be instrumental in providing customer engagement and spend insights to the World Wide (WW) Prime organization, as well as Amazon-wide business teams that leverage the widely adopted LEO framework. The LEO pillar exists to analyze and understand what makes customers join Prime and deepen their engagement with our products and services over time. This position will provide strategic Finance support to business and marketing teams to help them develop strategies that drive customer retention and deepen engagement with Amazon.

Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for frameworks including LEO, (Per Paid) Prime Member GMS (PMGMS), and Consumer Spend Benchmarking (CSB), this position will play a key role in deepening the understanding of our customers’ behaviors, spend patterns, and benefit usage. This individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to perform analysis, develop new metrics, and build forecasts/insights that support and drive strategic business decisions. If you enjoy using analytical skills to shape strategy and build new initiatives from concept to scale, this is the opportunity for you.

We are looking for a strategic and analytical partner to join MGE, who is not afraid of ambiguity and likes to build mental models, mechanisms, and frameworks. This role provides a unique opportunity to support different businesses and multifunctional teams, inside and outside of the WW Prime organization. The right individual indexes high on Learn and Be Curious, Invent and Simplify, and Dive Deep. They foster the willingness to streamline and automate, decreasing redundancy in reporting and insights, while developing new tools to better support their business partners.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with the GPF Business Intelligence (BI) team to develop and scale a new suit of LEO reporting, inclusive of P0s, CBR slides, and funnel views.

  • Remove redundancies across existing reporting, deprecate low/no-usage reports, and fully automate MEC/QEC reporting.

  • Conduct deep dives to identify, track, and understand trends related to customer engagement, retention, spend, and profitability across various customer cohorts and LEO segments.

  • Provide thought leadership in the area of quantifying the value of distinct customer segments and behaviors.

  • Play a hands-on role in the development of the 360 Dashboard – a new mechanism to report customer engagement and spend metrics for Prime and Non-Prime customers.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and deep dives to support the WW Prime teams with strategy development.

  • Manage Consumer Spend Benchmarking (CSB) reporting, as well as the Voice of Customer (VoC) dashboard.

  • Support the LEO 2.0 Bar Raisers by sharing segmentation insights and onboarding new BRs.
