Amazon Executive Assistant, WWCO Partners in Arlington, Virginia

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support two Directors in a growing, global organization. This role is part of the World Wide Consumer Organization (WWCO) within the Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) org.

This role requires a high level of professionalism in dealing with senior business leaders inside and outside the organization, and a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional who has demonstrated using strong business judgement, while working in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced global environment. They must be able to perform a high volume of complex tasks autonomously, be detail-oriented, and an exceptional planner. They must be able to communicate and respond effectively and efficiently, while maintaining flexibility, a sense of humor and grace under pressure. This candidate will work closely with the two Directors, their leadership team, corporate teams, other Amazon groups, AWS partners, and customers within SMGS.

Responsibilities for this position include the proactive ownership of the Director’s calendars, ability to coordinate complex meetings and projects by working directly with key stakeholders, experience with compiling and organizing large amounts of information, and a proven ability to plan-ahead and manage time effectively. International planning, engagement, and assistance across the global AWS Partner community is required.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

· Ownership of multiple Executives' calendars

· Coordinate executive travel, both domestic and international

· Friendly and diplomatic handling of external partners and stakeholders through verbal/written communication

· Coordinate complex meetings and projects across global teams

· Conduct research and documentation and use analytical and spreadsheet skills to help track and help drive completion of key deliverables

· Apply strong attention to detail and good judgement, with the ability to manage confidential information

· Varied administrative and operations work

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience

  • Experience with executive level calendar management

  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

  • Experience working with large global teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of senior level leadership support experience

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

  • Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
