Be a part of a new corporate program for Royce Geo! We are looking for aresults-driven individual to join us at a Data Manager in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the FG NOX (SFP) with data management and database management support. The Data Manager assists in data investigations on problems using applied statistics, building algorithms and collaborating with domain expertise to convey complicated realities to non-technical audiences
  • Assist in development of a modernized data management workflow for all SFP programs.
  • Work with Senior Data Scientist towards utilization and sustainment of the new database management processes and workflows with database developers and analysts.
  • Implement data policies, standards, and requirements as developed by data owner and/or data steward.
  • Assist in planning new workflows ensuring automation is built in.
  • Ensure new workflows have ability to be integrated seamlessly with our modernized database applications and enterprise-level APIs.
  • Build on existing models and simulations of production and change detection data.
  • Provide data technology and security advice, to include recommendations on technology infrastructure, software, or security changes to achieve modernization goals.
  • Assist in other data management tasks related to SFPs modernization activities.
  • Assist in coding and scripting.
  • Implementing enterprise database management processes.
  • Assist in automating repetitive data management tasks.
  • Transfer data between multiple formats and networks.
  • Deliver service solutions that integrate best practices to modernize current practices.
  • Assist in data investigations on problems using applied statistics, building algorithms and collaborating with domain expertise to convey realities to non-technical audience.
  • Visualize disparate data sources to provide dashboards that can be understood by non-technical audiences.
  • Assist with Production Office input and updates to the requirements database.
  • Assist with training NSG community members on the requirements database prior to annual data and validation call.
  • Participation in strategic development activities in accordance with stated NGA, Source (S), Foundation GEOINT Group (SF), and FG NOX (SFP) goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain a CI Poly
  • 5+ years of relevant experiencewith a bachelors degree. (Years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree, while advanced deg ees may reduce the required years of experience)
  • 3-6 years experience in programming languages such as Python or R (statistical analysis), data preprocessing, and basic machine learning algorithms.
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcPro
  • Familiarity with: common data science libraries and frameworks, plus:
    • PostgreSQL, Postgis, PgAdmin
    • Application programming interfaces (APIs)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with workflow management systems, such as Flowable, and
  • Working knowledge of MapInfo/ MapBasic GIS/ database software
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau
