Amazon Account Manager - Federal Financials, US FED SUPPORT in Arlington, Virginia

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing the Public Sector business? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider for the US Federal Government?

You will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of of commercial cloud adoption in the US Federal Government. As an Account Manager, focusing on the US Worldwide Public Sector Federal Financial Market, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s utility computing web services (Amazon Compute, Storage, Database, Machine Learning services, etc). You should have both a sales and technical background that enables you to successfully manage a high volume of activity to achieve activity-based metrics, as well as experience establishing credibility with decision makers. You will have day-to-day interactions with the executive level customers in the top strategic customer accounts. You will help your customers use AWS services to enable business transformation across their organization, as well as the broader financial services industries that they regulate.

You will:

-Serve as a key member of the US WWPS Federal Financials Sales Team in helping to drive overall AWS market and technical strategy – contribute to strategies, program development, investments, channel development and other important efforts to make AWS the best fit for our customers’ needs.

Identify, engage WWPS Federal Financials accounts, using a solution selling approach

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing, while understanding and identifying opportunities for customers

  • Manage time efficiently, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the sales and marketing team.

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and related territory target lists in Salesforce.com

  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption

  • Ensure customer satisfaction

  • Limited travel.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or MIS

  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent
