Summary

Responsible for maximizing sales of all warehouse solutions products to an established number of national accounts as determined by management. Responsible for profitability of the Warehouse Solutions Department which includes reducing errors. Work in a team-selling environment. Work closely with Branch management personnel to ensure proper office operations and procedures are being followed. Must be able to effectively identify, communicate and work through customer problems, issues and opportunities with corporate network.

Responsibilities

National Account Warehouse Solutions Sales Support

Assume responsibility for large warehouse solution projects initiated by the assigned National Account Managers. Survey national account opportunities to establish existing and possible solutions for National Account projects. Assist National Account Managers in defining specifications for customer applications. Develop an account management plan to maximize time with national account managers and their customers. Accompany National Account Managers on customer visits and sales calls. Utilize online resources to maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity information. Prepare a monthly sales forecast. Communicate effectively with product vendors and enlist their support in sales calls as needed.

Quotation and Order Process

Prepare quotations, presentations and orders for all warehouse solution products and services as needed. Prepare all paperwork for vendor demo requests. Review drawings, quotations, quantities, and capacity calculations to ensure accuracy and to ensure specifications are met. Provide overview of project to National Account Manager. Aid in the presentations of National Account projects to ensure Company value is recognized by assigned accounts and adequate sales and support are accomplished. Make revisions as necessary. Gather and prepare all paperwork for permit process if necessary. Collaborate with branches where install will take place and determine local code requirements. If an install is not in Company branch’s APR, you must contact the local municipality to determine proper code compliance. Review and revise all pricing, terms, contracts, installation parameters, and financing for order process. Review all acknowledgements for accuracy and make changes when necessary. Works jointly with National Account Warehouse Solutions Coordinator to process orders.

Installation of Products

Provide related information on available maintenance programs. Address any on-site installation issues. Responsible for project management and installation coordination. May be required to draw or work with CAD designer obtain full-size scalable CAD Drawings and provide to National Account Managers or their customers as required. CAD Drawings are to be consistently designed in a Company-approved layout.

Miscellaneous

May develop and/or oversee marketing and promotional programs such as advertisements, sales contests and warehouse solutions eblasts. Activities at the discretion of management to include resolution of accounts receivable or service issues and participation in litigation situations. Maintain vendor relations. Communicate the status of customers to Department Managers as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

5-7 years related experience

Bachelor’s degree

Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED

Must have valid driving privileges

Extensive travel (over 20%)

Extensive overnight stays (over 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

A four-year college degree is desirable for this position. The incumbent should possess the following: basic computer skills and working knowledge of Excel and Word programs; excellent communication, relationship building, and time management skills; several years of successful sales; problem solving capabilities; strong sense of urgency, responsibility and self-motivation; ability to work in a team environment. A valid driver’s license is required. Travel is required. Warehouse product knowledge and experience with AutoCAD strongly desirable. Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities is required.
