Pitney Bowes Warehouse Presort Lead - 2nd Shift in Arlington, Texas

Pitney Bowes is now hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Warehouse Presort Associate 3 in our Arlington, TX facility.

2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 4:30 pm - 12:30 am

Base Rate: $19.00 / hour

$1.00/hr additional for 2nd shift

You Are:

An individual who enjoys a fast paced, physical production environment while developing new skills in the mailing industry. You are a hard-working and vital contributor to our company’s success in meeting productivity standards and customer satisfaction ratings.

Lead:

  • Assur the accurate and timely processing of the mail run on the MLOCR Equipment

  • Assign workers to the appropriate equipment and job duties

  • Set up machines. Verify quality of sorted mail using QMS procedures

  • Assist in preparation of USPS and Production reporting as required

  • Assist with a variety of warehouse tasks including but not limited to presorting and machine operating as needed

  • Responsible for overseeing production workers in designated areas

  • Direct production and personnel issues to Supervisor in a timely manner

  • Oversee quality in assigned area. Assure QMS processes and procedures are followed at all times

  • Follow-up to assure processing proceeds at the pace needed to meet postal deadlines

  • Offer suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, motivation of employees

  • Keep down time to a minimum, assist in meeting and/or exceeding site PFPLH metric

  • Remain informed of Acceptance Times and when trucks must leave. Assure mail is prepared to hit these times

  • Assist Customer Service team and Operations team to communicate and resolve mail quality issues

Trainer:

  • Train new employees in job functions, policies, assigns designated individuals to complete the training

  • Conduct classroom Orientation Program training for contingent and new employees (Day 1 Orientation and Introduction to Presort)

  • Lead classroom training of PB Employees in Certification programs as scheduled

  • Coordinate various employee engagement initiatives and activities

  • Work with and Support site PAL’s with on-the-job training

  • Coordinate with Management and PAL’s to identify opportunities for future training and assist Presort Academy Program Director with building training as required

  • Answer employee questions during training and direct employees to the right area/individual based on their needs.

  • Provide feedback and reporting to Management regarding employee training status

General:

  • Must possess and maintain current certifications as outlined for Presort Academy. Additional certification training may be required as current training is updated and new training is developed

  • Demonstrate safety and security precautions and follows company policies

  • Perform all additional duties as required  

Your Background :

  • Skilled and knowledgeable across all areas of a Presort Operation

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and USPS postal regulations

  • Ability to prepare reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees

  • Ability to proficiently speak and understand English. Ability to speak and understand other languages a plus

  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lead and engage/interact with large groups of employees

  • Ability to calculate and prepare various reports regarding volumes, rejects and other pertinent data

  • Solid understanding of use of Windows environment to set up production runs

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished orally or in writing

  • Ability to solve basic problems that arise in the production environment

  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop and bend up to 80% of the time

  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Dependable and reliable

  • Knowledge of the pre-sort mailing business is a plus

  • The ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice
