Hiring HVAC Technician for manufacturing plant in Arlington, TX
$35/hr
Shift: Monday AND Friday 7am-3:30pm, Saturday AND Sunday 7am-7:30pm
Job Description
This position is primarily responsible for performing installs, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, and humidifiers.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot refrigeration controls (metering devices).
Handle hermetic compressors, heat pumps up to 5-ton, split systems up to 5-ton, packaged units up to 5-ton, and ductless splits.
Work with electric motors (3-phase and 1-phase) and electric motor controls (contractors, starters, relays, disconnects, thermostats, etc.).
Manage light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, and related controls (oil and gas).
Operate various types of water pumps, intake and exhaust fans, and unit heaters (hot water, steam, and electric).
Utilize economizers and humidifiers.
Proficiently perform tasks such as soldering, brazing, basic heat load calculations, and basic heat loss calculations.
Build client confidence in the company.
Provide management with information on training needs and courses of interest.
Prepare parts and tools for daily activities.
Coordinate with dispatchers for the use and timely return of company tools.
Maintain company tools in a professional manner.
Requirements
8 years of HVAC Tech experience or Journeyman license.
Proficient in HVAC repair and maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair boilers and plant equipment.
Experience with preventive maintenance and duct work.
EPA certification.
Experience with air conditioning systems.
Ability to perform soldering and brazing.
Basic knowledge of heat load and heat loss calculations.
