Job Summary

Provide professional administrative and coordination for the Center for Proposal Development Office. The Coordinator I is a new position that will help facilitate proposal development workshops, external/internal contracts, maintaining of proposal development resources and large-scale funding opportunities, data research software updates, colllaborate with pre-post award grants administration in data analytics and a variety of interrelated operational responsibilities such as CPD communications and serving as a liaison with internal and external customers. The position will report to the Center for Proposal Development Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative functions in collaboration with the office of grants contract services (OGCS) which include:

  • event planning (Lunch and Learn webinars, Grant Writing Workshops, Department Research Administrators meetings), funding opportunities email alerts, receive and track office documents, and/or other similar functions.

  • Manage and update all data research software systems, and update resource repository files with various grant resources (budget templates, logic models, grant proposal examples, etc.) for research faculty and staff, and prepare by-monthly agendas/meetings for various workshops, trainings in partnership with office of grants and contract services.

  • Manage any payroll matters, set-up and provide any specialized departmental trainings, answer general department questions, follow up on outstanding confirmations, and work with external research contractors to make sure all documentation, agreements follow UTA’s Office of Research guidelines.

  • Interacts with other university offices, departments and outside agencies and consultants in administering programs and performing required functions.

  • Update and maintain Center for Proposal Development webpage/website.

  • Coordinates with research communication manager regarding necessary communications.

  • May supervise student employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with background in grants or working with grants.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years related experience in Research Administration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced skill with MS Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook and Adobe.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
