UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT ARLINGTON Business Continuity Planner in Arlington, Texas

Under the guidance of the Emergency Management Director, develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity program that support the University of Texas at Arlington. Requires significant contact and coordination with internal faculty, staff and students as well as external partners . This a security sensitive position that will require a criminal background check..Develop and manage a comprehensive university-wide business continuity planning program.Provide guidance to faculty, staff and business units to complete business continuity plans in case of business disruption.Working under the direction of Director of Emergency Management, assists in the development and implementation of departmental Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) that ensure UTA can respond to disasters to make certain that operations resume within a defined period and the amount of infrastructure and revenue loss is minimized.Partner with departments/units in the maintenance and exercising of their specific BCP processes, implementing organizational changes, assists with training staff on plans and procedures, and maintaining continuity program documentation.Support developing Emergency Operations Center activation procedures, processes and position-specific checklists.Assist with the development and delivery of emergency preparedness training for campus public safety, faculty, staff and students.Coordinate with and maintain collaborative interactions with local, county, state and federal partners.Assist with coordinating and conducting emergency management training exercises that include drills, tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises.Serve as Duty Officer which requires 24/7 availability, on a rotational basis.Responds to campus emergencies and assist with large scale special events during non-business hours; including nights, weekends, and possible holidays.During EOC activationand#x2019;s, provide management and leadership serving in various roles within the EOCand#x2019;s structure.Help develop after action reports (AAR) to include lessons learned and recommendations.Assists with response and recovery efforts during and after incidents affecting the university. Represent the Office of Emergency Management at meetings and conferences.Performs other duties as assigned..Bachelorand#x2019;s Degree with three (3) years experience in developing business continuity and emergency management, or homeland security plans, policies, protocols, and procedures or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Actual experience in managing some major aspect of emergency response in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) setting..Masterand#x2019;s Degree in Emergency Management, Business Administration or related field.Five (5) years of experience in developing and implementing business continuity, and/or emergency plans, policies and procedures.
