The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking an Air Quality Planner to assist with the creation and implementation of strategies to support the transition to cleaner transportation fuels, including zero-emission charging and refueling infrastructure for the general public and fleet vehicles. A successful candidate should have an interest in reducing the environmental impacts of transportation using alternative fuel vehicles, with emphasis on zero-emission vehicles. This position will support work of the Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities Coalition (www.dfwcleancities.org). Work is highly collaborative, working not only within the NCTCOG staff, but with external stakeholders, including local government staff, fleets, citizen groups, associations, and industry representatives. Maintaining awareness of the latest developments in the alternative fuel vehicle industry, including topics related to electric vehicles and associated recharging infrastructure

Assisting with the implementation of alternative fuel infrastructure projects awarded through the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure program and Electric Vehicle Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator Program

Assisting with the communication and coordination of regional alternative fuel infrastructure efforts, including electric vehicle charging

Assisting with the identification and communication of region-specific best practices to support alternative fuel adoption
