United States Steel Shipping Shift Supervisor, BRS in Arkansas

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure crew is fully staffed, on time, and at proper work station(s) when shift begins

  • Ensure that all shipping functions are operating as designed.

  • Communicate with all line supervisors about any and all issues in which shipping employees are directly and/or indirectly involved

  • Responsible for relaying any issues and/or problems to upper management whenever deemed necessary

Qualifications:

  • Requirements and Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Strong ability to multi-task

  • Team oriented

  • Ability to conduct any and all shipping jobs and functions efficiently

  • Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • One (1) year operations or technical experience

  • Ideal candidate will have previous shipping/transportation experience

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot outdoor conditions and around heavy loud equipment.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Leading all specific crew personnel.
