Monitors, controls and directs the planning, estimating, and scheduling functions of the refinery routine maintenance department.

• Directs the daily functions of the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling team.
• Monitors the refinery’s work order system and makes course corrections as required.
• Performs job safety audits and routine safety checks.
• Performs work sampling to develop benchmark data.
• Monitors the VPP and safety databases for routine maintenance.
• Coordinates development of the weekly schedule for routine maintenance.
• Monitors and evaluates maintenance Planner and Scheduler performance.
• Monitors and evaluates contractor performance.
• Monitors Maintenance expenses.
• Screens and approves invoices for Maintenance expenditures.
• Provides guidance and training for department Planners, Schedulers and clerical staff.
• Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for planner training.
• Maintains local planning and scheduling practice documentation.
• Assists Maintenance Director in stewardship of the maintenance budget and contractor headcount.
• Assists Maintenance Director with custom reports and research data.
• Evaluates maintenance staffing to ensure consistency with organizational goals.
• Analyzes maintenance performance indicators.
• Serves as liaison between service contractors and Valero
• Represents the facility for regionalization efforts.
• Monitor jurisdictional equipment work flow to ensure execution within required timeline.
• Monitors VOC’s to ensure execution is met within the required timeframe.
• Collaborate with Reliability department on development and scheduling of preventative maintenance items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required. * 10 years of planning or maintenance experience in refining or a related industry required. * Experience using computer-based planning and scheduling tools required. * Experience conducting maintenance planning or scheduling using a CMMS (e.g. SAP or Maximo) or Oracle Primavera P6 and/or MS Excel, Project, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required. * Experience reading engineering drawings, such as plot plans, piping isometrics, and P&IDs required. * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred. * Supervisory experience preferred. * Drafting experience preferred. * Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Ardmore Refinery, required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
