Inventory Planner I About the Role: At Boston Scientific, the Inventory Planner I will provide a central resource that will create, plan, and coordinate multi-facility requirements and material flows while maximizing customer service. This position also strives to minimize inventory and obsolescence through effective system development and strong communication skills.This exciting role will provide the opportunity to partner with multiple departments, including Field Sales, Sales Ops, and Marketing. Solid Excel skills are a definite need, and the ability to be coached and directed will assist in making this job a success. Your Responsibilities Include: Execute the weekly SAP Extract process for non-SAP feeder plants. Analyze and manage for all manufactured materials and finished goods. Compile, maintain and post departmental metrics related to worldwide activities. Participate and train in all necessary SAP initiatives and functional training related to expanding job requirements. Inventory Management. Lead or assist in the plan for new product launches that involve inter-company manufacturing and planning. Assimilate Marketing/Sales forecasts with Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to develop a plan for execution. Lead or assist in product line transfers between plants. Maintain high customer service levels to all distribution and manufacturing plants. Lead or participate in major corporate projects as well as local projects such as Bar Coding, Software system installations, inventory reduction or inter-company product transfers. What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 0-2 years of business support/analyses or related work experience Proficient in EXCEL and Microsoft Word. Strong verbal and written communication Skills Strong customer service Skills Self-motivated and functioning independently while following workflow.
