Corporate Sanitation ManagerEnsure compliance to Land O'Lakes, customer, and regulatory sanitation requirements and customer quality/food safety requirements at Land O'Lakes dairy manufacturing sites. Coach and mentor plant quality staff. Create, maintain, and implement quality and food safety programs for new and existing products and manufacturing processes. Partner with cross-functional plant team members to ensure a culture of quality and food safety throughout manufacturing sites. Communicate results for quality and food safety metrics and quality issues and events at facilities. Assist with onboarding of new plant employees, training on product safety and quality related subjects, and investigation of product safety and quality issues. This position requires up to 75% travel.Sanitation and Hygiene responsibilities:Work with plants to ensure compliance to Land O'Lakes, Inc and industry sanitary design standards.Develop programs/standards to ensure equipment and facility is effectively and efficiently cleaned and sanitized.Provide Sanitation and Hygiene leadership to plant staff. Work with cross functional teams to ensure work on facility updates, process updates, and equipment installations/modifications is done in a hygienic way and designed to ensure proper sanitation and food safety and quality requirements are met.Provide Sanitation and Hygiene input on sanitary design issues and risk-based prioritization of capital projects related to sanitation and food safety.Assist in development of annual sanitation plan, goals, and strategy to meet.Report on key sanitation metrics, review and react to trends and emerging issues.Conduct assessments (e.g., deep dives, audits, and inspections) of sanitation systems, procedures, and manual cleaning practices to ensure compliance to standards and identify opportunities for improvement.Assist with development of robust environmental monitoring programs and investigations for environmental findings. Ensure root cause and CAPAs are completed.Participate in development and maintenance of plant Product Safety PlansCollaborate with EH&S to ensure sanitation procedures and activities meet EH&S requirements.Participate in projects aimed at managing chemical contaminants in incoming raw materials and finished products.Provide education/training to plant personnel as needed.Work with chemical vendor to ensure service contract is met and performance is reviewed as required.Assist site with pest control issues, trend reviews, and participate in site pest program reviews with service provider.Experience/Education Required:Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred, plus 5 years of work experience in the food manufacturing sanitation field.In lieu of degree, 10 years of relevant work experience in the Sanitation field.Knowledge of food manufacturing hygiene and sanitation regulations including the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) strongly desired.Strong knowledge of and experience in cleaning/sanitizing systems (CIP/COP)Knowledge and experience of both wet and dry sanitation practices is preferred.Skills and Knowledge Required:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change.Ability to work independently and drive projects and actions through to completion.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to teach, coach and implement change.
