Sauder Woodworking Co Manufacturing Engineer in Archbold, Ohio
Sauder Woodworking Co is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the growing Building Products division. The Manufacturing Engineer is an integral part of the process management team and will be expected to specify, design, and develop technology and apply conceptual and engineering skills to solve problems and improve systems within their assigned area.
This role requires being in office so applicants should be within a commutable distance of Archbold, Ohio to be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs and develops systems and processes that are used within the assigned area
- Interprets and applies industry standards. Develops internal standards.
- Applies risk management techniques to designs of systems, processes, and standards
- Creates concept sketches, diagrams, layouts, and drawings
- Applies and mentors others using A3 process and Six Sigma techniques to manage and communicate problem solving efforts
- Qualifies, selects, and develops external suppliers and vendors
- Statistically analyze data, including designing and analyzing industrial experiments
- Develops organization's knowledge base of technology and systems
- Leads manufacturability and costing analysis of new and existing products
- Performs large scale project management with engineering economic analysis
- Create and maintain process documents according to the controlled document system

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Safety Mindset

- 5M and Process Orientation -- Man/Method/Material/Machine/Measurement
- PDCA approach
- Coaching and communication skills
- Create sketches, diagrams, and/or drawings
- Six Sigma Analysis skills -- data entry, analysis, statistics, and charting
- Design of Experiments
- FMEA -- Failure Mode Effects Analysis
- Ability to appropriately escalate issues, actions, and decisions
- Bachelor's degree, associate's degree plus 10 years experience, or combination of education and experience
Must be able to regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle/feel, talk/hear. Will occasionally be required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
PAY SUMMARY
Expected Offer: $57,000 - $76,000. The actual salary will be based on relevant experience and skills. The max salary listed is not the top of the salary band.
