Robert Half Accounting Administrator in Aptos, California
Description Robert Half has an opening for an experienced, driven Senior Accountant to provide leadership and know-how to a growing team. This is a permanent opportunity in the Aptos, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every single day
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - Strong attention to detail
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
Well-founded grasp of full charge bookkeeping
Expertise in Journal Entry Preparation
Journal entries experience
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping
General ledger experience preferred
Experience with GAAP Accounting
Strong familiarity with Adjusting Journal Entries
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
