AIR WISCONSIN AIRLINES Sr. Manager-Line & Contract Maintenance in APPLETON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: With general direction and supervision from the Director of Technical Operations, responsible for long-term operational performance, forecasting and planning with an emphasis on implementing strategic initiatives to further advance safety, compliance, consistency in execution and production rates. Provides guidance and technical support to Contracted Maintenance Providers to align maintenance scheduling and production control functions that result in reliable aircraft in conjunction with a safe and efficient working environment. Supervises and sets expectations for direct reports. Plans and maintains assigned budgets for contracted maintenance services. Allocates resources between contracted maintenance providers as needed. Job Functions: Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment. Accountable for contracted maintenance services. Manages the heavy maintenance contract, program, and company representatives. Manages the contracted line maintenance program and company representatives. Accountable for the assigned maintenance facility operating in compliance with FAA, OSHA, TSA and EPA regulations and Company policies and procedures. Provides input for departmental annual goals and objectives to align with corporate goals and objectives, and ensures resources as required for long-term strategies. Assists the Director of Technical Operations on accountability and engagement with the team to improve operational performance and identifies areas for improvement. Ensures policies and procedures outlined in the General Maintenance Manual are followed and executed. Analyzes metrics and daily maintenance performance, including recovery plans, and provides reports and summaries to maintenance leadership while continually looking for efficiencies. Develops corrective action plans to address inefficiencies, safety concerns or alignment of performance as needed. Mentors and guides direct reports, ensuring team members are adequately trained and are maintaining proficiency and currency, including coordination with the training department on development of training programs based on the needs of the organization and individual needs of the workforce. Ensures our contracted services providers develop efficient scheduling for our operation, have availability and use of assigned resources including tooling, personnel, and equipment, to provide maximum, effective productivity. Must have a working knowledge of services agreements and be able to administer the terms of those agreements. Initial review and approval of vendor invoices. Assists the Director of Technical Operations on budget formulation and monthly budget reviews. When applicable, leads the setup of new contracted maintenance services. Participates in root cause investigations and new initiatives to identify areas for improvement for all contracted maintenance services. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Competencies: High level of judgment to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, policies, and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate fluently in English.
