Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Apopka, Florida. The role involves managing construction material invoices, verifying subcontractor paperwork, and handling payments.
Responsibilities:
• Review, code, and enter invoices for construction materials, labor, and services
• Verify subcontractor paperwork for compliance with company requirements before payment is released
• Ensure all invoices have received appropriate approvals before processing
• Prepare checks and process electronic payments for vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systems
• Track and manage project budgets and expenses
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding invoices and payments
• Assist with month-end closing procedures.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Proficient in Data Entry and Invoice Processing
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and reliability
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus
• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role is desirable.
