Reporting to the Director, Core Engineering the role is responsible for architecting/designing, delivering, managing, and enhancing the company's cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms. The Cloud Services Engineer will be primary by focused on the administration of our cloud-based infrastructure and will also be part of a cross functional team which provides solution design and third tier support to a variety of enterprise solutions. This includes, but not limited to Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams, EMS, server, storage and other Cloud IaaS technologies. The role will own Zabbix monitoring platform as well as Backup (Commvault) and Disaster Recovery (Azure ASR) platforms. He/she will work closely with global infrastructure, global information security, global applications, global support services and program management teams to implement future infrastructure enhancements in all geographies. The role will also be involved in the implementation of security controls, disaster recovery solutions, and IT policies and procedures. The role will own Oracle HFM infrastructure and managing the platform working as liaison between the company users and the third-party consultants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery and maintenance of Microsoft Azure globally for company.

  • Responsible for design and maintaining CD/CI Pipelines and deployment/infrastructure scripting (Ansible/Terraform).

  • Deliver and maintain backup (Commvault), Disaster Recovery (Azure A2A) and monitoring (Zabbix) platforms ensuring they are fully operational, rightsized, secure and configured following the best practices defined by company and the software vendor as well as the ones generally accepted by the IT industry.

  • Responsible for monitoring, controlling and reporting on the costs of all cloud platforms used by the company, as well as identifying opportunities for cost reduction and continuously adjusting the infrastructure for maximize efficiently.

  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture; guide technical design activities related to cloud services to ensure design intent is clear and infrastructure impact is clearly understood.

  • Maintain HFM (Hyperion) infrastructure working with HFM team and the third-party technical consultants.

  • Devise creative solutions to critical online messaging and communications needs as well as end-user computing.

  • Provide guidance and support to team members proactively anticipating and overcoming obstacles.

  • Provide business sponsors and Information Technology leadership with regular project performance status, variances to plan, and identification of corrective actions (if required)

  • Function as an "internal consultant" around areas of cloud services, focusing specifically on IaaS initiates. Responsible for reviewing sites globally for adherence to security policies, entitlement reviews, and user provisioning methodologies.

  • Create and coordinate documentation (around processes, support steps and training).

  • Research and evaluate alternatives for the enhancement or re-engineering of IT architecture

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Years of Related Experience (Min.): 5+ years of cloud infrastructure work experience required; with a global company preferred.

  • Project Management Experience: coordinating cross-functional infrastructure projects.

  • Language: fluent English is essential.

  • Demonstrated, progressive hands-on Architecture and Design experience for Microsoft Azure.

  • Demonstrated, progressive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Windows and PowerShell.

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Azure/Office 365 is mandatory.

  • Excellent background in Microsoft applications and delivery systems as well the databases and data transport layers required to connect them.

  • Working knowledge of IT security best practices in respect to cloud computing.

  • Working knowledge of principles, best practices, architectures, tools and processes of cloud computing.

  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation Certification - Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment, and Change/Configuration Management.

  • Previous experience with Microsoft EMS highly preferred.

  • Windows, Virtualization (VMWare and Hyper-V), mobile computing, Outlook Web Access & ActiveSync experience preferred.
