Description
Our client is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Fixed Asset Accountant in Antioch, Illinois. The role is situated within the manufacturing industry and may require occasional travel for physical inventory counts across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage fixed asset accounting and ledger
• Administer procedures for setting up fixed assets
• Conduct periodic physical counts across various locations
• Manage the fixed asset inventory and depreciation processes
• Engage in budget processes related to fixed assets
• Ensure accurate processing and recording of company's fixed assets
• Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
• Investigate potential obsolescence of fixed assets
• Set up processes and procedures related to fixed assets
Requirements
• Possess a deep understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting principles and practices
• Demonstrated experience with Fixed Asset Inventory management
• Proficiency in calculating and recording Fixed Asset Depreciation
• Ability to manage and maintain a Fixed Asset Ledger accurately
• Capability to collaborate effectively with other departments and teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
