WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Join a passionate new product development team that is focused on innovation and development within our extensive HOFFMAN cooling product line! Work with multi-functional teams to help launch products by taking market specifications through stage-gate processes from concept to development to deployment. Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, and quality personnel to launch new air conditioning, chiller, heat exchanger, and filter fan products. Perform research and development of vapor-compression technology systems. Perform calculations, analyses, and simulations to validate designs, specifications, and predict product performance using Engineering Equation Solver (EES), VapCyc and CoilDesigner or similar tools Plan and direct test activities to qualify and validate products to internal, industry, and regulatory standards. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early-career engineers. Specify purchased part requirements and work with supply leaders to source parts for use in designs. Build and maintain key relationships with academic and industry partners. YOU HAVE: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or higher in mechanical engineering, or a related field. At least 5+ years of experience in HVACR industry. Experience with vapor-compression system design and component selection. Experience with refrigeration system modeling, simulation, and testing. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
