Job Description

Data protection and security are key infrastructure requirements, which our product team aims to meet with unique Oracle-integrated on-premises systems and cloud services.
Join our team in designing these offerings, which directly address our customers’ data protection challenges today running critical databases.
As a product manager, you will proactively engage with internal and external groups to drive market awareness for Oracle solutions in the data protection market. Activities include analyzing industry trends, gathering competitive intelligence, regular engagements with strategic customers, making pitches in data management/security industry conferences, and coordinating launch activities with Oracle marketing and partners.
Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture.
Build new products and development tools. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA.
Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
You will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and explain product directions and specifications.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
BS or MS degree with 3-5 years experience relevant to functional area preferred

The Oracle Data Protection Technologies team is looking for a top class Product Manager, to be a member of the core team behind Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance, and Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service.
In this role, you will be working with an elite group of software developers and product managers to assist with current initiatives around developing and marketing Oracle’s capabilities for data protection. You may also be expected to take complete product management ownership on selected areas as well as products to be released in the future. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
