Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, Maritime/Land Systems & Sensors Division (MLSS), is seeking a Contract Administrator/Principal Contract Administrator based out of our Annapolis, MD office to join our Special Defense Operating team onsite in the Naval and Oceanic Systems Business Unit.

This requisition may be filled as a Contract Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator.

What You'll Get to Do as a Contract Administrator:

  • Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.

  • Apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation, and customer relationships.

  • Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions.

  • Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval.

  • Manage fact-finding, evaluation notices, and negotiations between customer and program team.

  • Build knowledge of FAR/DFARS.

  • Manage and administer Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and other reports.

  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations.

  • Compile and analyze data.

  • Maintain historical information through the closeout process.

Basic Qualifications as a Contract Administrator:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing. or Contracts adjacencies (Criminal Justice, English, International Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management) from an accredited institution with 2 years of relevant experience in contracts, subcontracts, business management, finance or accounting OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing. or Contracts adjacencies (Criminal Justice, English, International Business, Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management) from an accredited institution with 1 years of relevant experience in contracts, subcontracts, business management or finance.

  • Willing to consider 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe.

  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS

  • US citizenship is required.

  • A current active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications as a Contract Administrator:

  • Experience in contacts administration within the defense industry

  • Experience reading and interpreting legal and contractual requirements.​

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecommunications.

  • SAP software tool experience

  • Willing to consider 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe.

  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS

  • US citizenship is required.

  • A current active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance is required.

Salary Range: $68,800 - $103,200

Salary Range 2: $84,600 - $127,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
