Senior Principal Cyber Engineer

Job Summary:

A Senior Principal Cyber Engineer supporting Nightwing CODEX will be responsible for analyzing, understanding, designing, developing, and testing the worlds most advanced cyber security capabilities, supporting both offensive and defensive missions. We drive the security development lifecycle of several technologies including new services, apps, and products from design all the way to launch, and do so in collaboration with many teams.

As a Senior Principal Cyber Engineer supporting the CODEX Services group, you will contribute to one or more product security programs in collaboration with other engineers and technical program managers. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and driving resolution to security issues in a broad range of technologies (e.g., Linux, Windows, Virtualization\Hypervisors, Mobile, and Embedded\IoT systems). Additionally, you will influence the requirements and design of cyber capabilities. You'll provide technical guidance to projects and will contribute to the automation of our analysis and testing activities.

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, a related technical field and 6 years of experience or 10 years of developing cyber software capabilities

8 years of experience writing, testing, and debugging Assembly, C, C++ and/or Python code

5 years’ experience leading teams in support of cyber software capabilities development

Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
