Database Engineer 2

Candidate must have an active TS/SCI w/ Poly

Key Tasks :

s Helping the client develop and implement data management and responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and supervising efforts and designing, developing, and updating a strategic plan, to manage data and compliance to the related policies and standards.

s Assist in maintaining the EIS Data Catalog, an extensible metadata platform that provides capability to catalog data sources and products that enable end-to-end discovery, data observability, and federated governance. Support EIS teams in the federated governance process. Ensure data products meet governance framework requirements (tagging, domain assignment, ownership, contract, automation). Identify and register EIS data sources and products not currently registered, remedy data population, validation, and quality issues. Decommission obsolete data products from the Catalog

Required Skills:

s Familiar with Data Governance and Data Stewardship. Experience with improving Enterprise IT data quality, usability, and interoperability. Understanding of data stores and dataflow. Experience manipulating data within databases (SQL & NoSQL) and performing analysis of data.

Required Education/Certifications:

s Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

s Five (5) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
