Job Summary
TheSchool of Information (https://www.si.umich.edu/) (UMSI) is looking for an experienced technical project manager and release manager to lead projects for the State of Michigan public health response.
Reporting to the UMSI Computing Services Project/Change Manager, you will lead technical initiatives for the University of Michigan and the State of Michigan in response to any public health concerns.
You will work with partners from the State of Michigan, School of Public Health, and UM administration.

Responsibilities*
Project Management (75%)
Maintain all necessary administrative and logistical documentation required by partners, including written and visual content and communication requests
Manage requirements in the backlog, scheduling tickets for release
Provide functional management over student and non-student, and vendor roles supporting the projects.
Release Manager (25%)
Plan the release of deliverables and setup and build releases
Design and run integration tests to ensure the quality of releases
Develop procedures to support configuration and release management process
Required Qualifications*
Master's degree in computer science or information
At least 3 years experience working in a technical field related to COVID-19 response and childhood vaccines.
Proficiency in JIRA project management tooling
Experience working as a project manager or related role on a covid response project.
Proven experience with SQL for creating reports.
Window functions, CTE's, group etc
Work Schedule
Punctual and regular attendance is required. May require working during non-business hours and on weekends. 40 hours a week. May require infrequent working during non-business hours and on weekends.
Work Locations
This requires that you be local to Ann Arbor. In your cover letter please indicate that you are able to be on site as needed. This is not a fully remote position. You will have shared space at one of the UMSI offices and allow for hybrid work. We may ask you to travel within the United States for conference presentations.
