Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to lead large projects of high complexity and provide leadership for civil-related projects.

  • Energize and inspire others to strive for excellence and commit to common goals and purposes, creating a sense of self-efficacy, resilience, and accountability of the team.

  • Lead client project requirement meetings, value analyses, and cost estimating.

  • Oversee and manage multiple projects in and around the Ann Arbor market, with opportunities to collaborate throughout the Great Lakes Region.

  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and the projects of peers.

  • Develop project scope, budget, and design approach for projects of all sizes, and support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting negotiations for project contracts.

  • Coach and mentor the team of water professionals located within our Ann Arbor office.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Technical expertise in relevant areas of design and understanding of various design and construction methods.

  • Creative leadership and ability to lead and collaborate in team settings.

  • Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts and can comfortably communicate ideas to non-technical peers.

  • Experience with software programs such as AutoCAD Civil3D and various hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
