ADP Implementation Manager (an Integrated Design opportunity in Ann Arbor, Michigan

ADP is hiring an Implementation Manager.

In this role, you will manage the staff, its workflow, departmental policies and procedures. This includes:

  • Motivating team members through coaching, mentoring, and evaluation

  • Participating in hiring and disciplinary decisions

  • Managing schedules & work assignments, and adjusting both to meet daily operational requirements

  • Setting metrics to monitor team and individual productivity

  • Improving productivity by recommending changes in tools, training, processes and procedures.

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of customer orders

  • Proactively identify opportunities to eliminate support issues, improve service, improve usability, and increase customer satisfaction.

External Customer Support :

  • Maintain effective working relationships with appropriate reseller representatives

  • Facilitate customer resolution for escalated orders and engage the necessary implementation and management resources

Internal Customer Support :

  • Foster a strong, positive service attitude that ensures that the customer needs of ADP employees will be met with courtesy, timeliness and a sense of ownership.

Interdepartmental Communication :

  • As processes and procedures change, you will need to consult with affected departments and their respective management to ensure that all process issues are considered. Additionally, all affected ADP employees will need timely, accurate updates on how these changes impact how they do business

WHAT YOU'LL DO: * * Responsibilities

The person filling this job must be technically inquisitive, a quick learner, resourceful, and flexible. To be successful in this position you will need to be attentive to detail, have a positive attitude, a devotion to helping both internal and external customers, and strong interpersonal communication skills. You will need to calmly respond to spontaneous crises, define priorities and direct the staff accordingly. The skills and abilities important for success are:

Professionalism : The Implementation Manager will project a calm, confident, concerned image to all clients. An IM adheres to ADP’s expectations that they arrive to work on time, put in a full day’s work, and is prepared, if required, to accommodate an escalating West Coast client.

Teamwork : The Manager must possess a good working relationship with other ADP team members to be successful. They will also need to work efficiently with other departments within ADP to solve technical issues. The entire Implementation team is highly interdependent, and each member must be willing and able to jump in where needed. An IM is expected to show a high degree of ownership for their responsibilities and the Implementation team in general.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for this position. The IM must possess the ability to communicate technical issues internally and externally with reseller and/or client audiences and adjust the content of that communication appropriately. On many complex account escalations, the IM may be the only voice of ADP on conference calls with end users.

Interpersonal Skills: The IM needs to present a friendly, competent persona to resellers and clients. The IM should have demonstrated leadership abilities and a good understanding of a “services” business in a high-tech environment.

Problem Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem solving skills combined with the ability to provide quick responses and resolution options to customer service problems and escalating accounts.

*WHAT YOU'LL DO: * Responsibilities

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

*Be a Leader. * You will provide overall direction, prioritize critical issues, and support your team to ensure that work is completed accurately and with quality according to scheduled deadlines, priorities, and overall goals. You will serve as a resource for your team, based on a solid working knowledge of the team's responsibilities and each associate's development plan. You'll also participate in task forces, strategic initiatives, stretch assignments, and collaboration opportunities with other ADP business units.

Mentor and Train. You will motivate associates while providing continuous feedback on performance and coaching. You will help develop your team members' careers and coordinate any additional training as needed with leadership support. 

*Represent ADP. * You will represent ADP as the first level of client-escalated issues. You'll develop an action plan and oversee resolution efforts for payroll processing. Plus, you will provide direct feedback to associates on opportunities to enhance services provided to clients.

Flex and Adapt.  You thrive in a structured environment where you set priorities, organize your day, multi-task, change direction, and provide prompt follow-up. You're a problem solver who can find an answer, or a solution, for time-sensitive issues and meet deadlines. You take the initiative to seek answers, solutions, and positive outcomes for both the client and ADP. 

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE : _  _Required Qualifications

  • At least five years of client service experience

  • At least three years of people leadership experience

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:

  • Experience noted above, OR

  • Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team and client relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.
